Ongoing Research and Industry Projects

The project "IT Security Laboratory" (ITS) is carried out by C&M and its industry partner iC Consult and develops security solutions for reseach issues originating from ongoing industry projects performed by iC Consult for their customers. An example is the security hardening of web applications, which will be moved to a cloud service.

The project "Internet Connected Environments" (IVU) examines questions regarding the Internet of Things together with the Fraunhofer Institut für Optronik, Systemtechnik und Bildauswertung (IOSB). One result of this cooperation was the expansion of a web-based campus guide system as part of a project of the EU. Sensor data is now being used to provide current environment data and aid with the search for available workspace on the campus.

The project "Assistance and Coaching Systems" (ACS) develops web applications which support people with interacting with their environment or other people. Two projects currently under development are a campus guidance system (together with the university's information management department) and a web application aiding with the coaching of seminar participants (in cooperation with a trainer for nonviolent communication).
